File this one under: not breathtaking. You can not – and I can’t stress this enough – shag Keanu Reeves in Cyberpunk 2077.
Keanu Reeves plays cybernetic rock star Johnny Silverhand in CD Projekt Red’s upcoming RPG. While the game will feature a bunch of romance options, Silverhand won’t be one of them.
“Keanu plays a crucial role in the game, but as for the option to romance him, I don’t believe you can,” level designer Max Pears told VGC.
It’s not a huge surprise since Johnny is, well, dead. He exists as a digital ghost, a kind of implanted memory or AI that follows you through a large portion of the story. You can’t bone ghosts, never mind digital ghosts, but a few people were likely hoping for some kind of Blade Runner 2049 situation.
In the same VGC interview, CD Projekt explained how the fluid gender system works. Genitals are defined by body type, but you can mix and match voice with body type to create the character you want. NPCs will refer to your character as ‘V’ throughout.
Cyberpunk 2077 is all about customisation and personalisation so it makes a lot of sense to go down this route. Here’s how lifepaths and optional companions will impact your Cyberpunk 2077 playthrough.
Keanu Reeves plays a major role in Cyberpunk 2077, with a voice line count to rival the protagonist.
If you want to feel like Neo, here are some of the games that do justice to The Matrix. Whoa.
